KTi SafetyAlert SA1G EPIRBs incorporate a 66 channel GPS receiver which is accurate to 1.8 metres** and provides the highest possible search-and-rescue location accuracy. Once activated, the SA1G will continue to transmit an updated GPS location every five (5) minutes for over three (3) days.
The SafetyAlert SA1G has an in-built high intensity strobe light for visual detection at night or in poor visibility and provides its GPS location to search-and-rescue authorities within one (1) minute of activation.
The Safety Alert SA1G EPIRB is extremely cost effective and low maintenance due to an engineering world first COSPAS/SARSAT approved 10 Year Battery. The SafetyAlert SA1G is designed to go the distance so you may have complete confidence on land or at sea.
** Whilst the GPS receiver has an accuracy of 1.8 metres, search-and-rescue authorities advise that the maximum accuracy they can resolve in all cases from an EPIRB is 120 metres.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY HIDDEN COSTS:
KTi strongly urges people contemplating a battery replacement or the purchase of a new EPIRB to STOP and consider the options.
A five or six year battery replacement for a 406 MHz marine EPIRB will cost some $200.00 plus freight. For a small extra cost, you can purchase a new KTi Safety Alert 406 MHz EPIRB with an exclusive 10 year battery and 10 year warranty.
WORLD’S FIRST & ONLY EPIRB WITH 20 YEAR LIFE – 10 YEAR BATTERY
Battery replacement costs every five or six years on other brands (plus freight) can effectively double the original purchase price. By the time Safety Alert EPIRB owners are planning their first battery replacement, owners of other brands will be forced to replace their whole beacon due to their limited service life of only 10 to 12 years.
KTi Safety Alert EPIRB offers the following exclusive features:
World’s only approved EPIRB with a 10 year battery replacement interval
20 year life with only one battery replacement
10 year warranty
Totally manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions
Approved to operate both in and out of water
SA1G transmits GPS location in less than one minute after activation. Thereafter, five minute GPS updates
SA1G has a 66 channel GPS accurate to three metres
When you consider that KTi Safety-Alert range of EPIRBS sell for much the same price as other lesser products, it is easy to see why KTi can claim that their Safety-Alert EPIRBs, with many extra exclusive features, represent half the cost or twice the value when compared to many other EPIRBs.
